The function commenced with the Vedic prayer. Dr. D. K. Daftary, Chariman, Managing Committee, Bhavan's Jyotisha Bharati, and Prof. Sharad C. Joshi, Vice Principal, Bhavan's Jyotisha Bharati, paid homage to Late Shri D. V. Thakur, Senior Vice Principal, Bhavan's Jyotisha Bharati, who passed away on Guru-purnima (23-7-2021), at the age of 97 years. They appreciated his long and dedicated services rendered at Bhavan's Jyotisha Bharati.
Dr. Daftary, in his welcome address, paid tributes to the age-old Guru tradition, and underlined the importance of sharing the knowledge for strengthening the foundation of the scientific research of all subjects including Astrology. He also appreciated the efforts of students and teachers in continuing online the Astrological studies of all courses.
Shri Rajesh Kacha, faculty-member, Bhavan's Jyotisha Bharati, introduced and welcomed the well-known Astrologer and Palmist Shri Upendrasingh B. Bhadoriya, Mechanical Engineer, and former Hon. He also discussed, in detail, the effectiveness of Phaladesha (prediction) and its relationship with the detailed study of the Navamsha transit and Ashtaka-varga system.
Ms. Tanny Garg, faculty member, compered and co-ordinated the programme, and the faculty-members -- Shri Seemant Maharana, Shri Kunal Vora and Ms. Urmi Pasad, actively participated in the function through their technical support.
