Lecture on Nadi Astrology

The Bhavan's Jyotisha Bharati, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai; organized a lecture on 'Nadi Astrology' by the noted Nadi Astrologer Prof. Dineshchandra K. Negandhi (from Bhavnagar, Gujarat), on Sunday, 5-5-2019.
In his address, Dr. Dinesh K. Daftary, Chairman, Bhavan's Jyotisha Bharati, welcomed Prof. Negandhi, and appealed the students to conduct research-based studies in their chosen fields of Astrological science. Prof. V. M. Sompura, Principal, Bhavan's Jyotisha Bharati, briefly introduced the Nadi astrology, and spoke on Prof. Negandhi's contribution to it. He honoured the guest by offering him coconut, shawl and bouquet.
In his lecture, Prof. Negandhi briefly narrated the history of Nadi-jyotisha, and its unique encoding system. He paid homage to Late Shri R.G. Rao, the eminent Nadi Astrologer, whose books motivated him (Prof. Negandhi) to carry out his further studies in Nadi-shastra. He elaborated on various topics like the results of various combinations of different planets, their positions and directions, prediction of timing of specific events through the analysis of the transit of Jupiter and Saturn, and difference between Nadi-shastra and other systems of astrology, as well as absence of remedial procedures in Nadi astrology.
On this occasion, the 15th volume of the Nadi-shastra book series of Prof. Negandhi was released by Prof. Sompura, and a DVD of question-answers on Nadi astrology was released by Prof. Sharad Joshi. Prof. Negandhi gifted a copy of one of his books, to each of 170 participants. The lecture was followed by an interesting question-answer session. Prof. Rajesh Kacha proposed the vote of thanks.
