THE AMAZING SCIENCE OF JYOTISHA

The ancient lore of India is unique, for many branches, its attempt was to probe the mysteries of life and death. Of its lore, the most amazing has been the science of Jyotisha, Astrology.

The lore is doubtless fascinating. From very early days, I have taken interest in friends and astrologers trying their skill on the planetary chart of the heavens at the moment of my birth, for that is what a horoscope is. I have never closed my mind to the science.

In condemning astrology, we shut our face against a science, with a predetermined vision. If explored with patience, honesty and skill, it might perhaps break through the barrier which separates life from death, the present from the future; it might give an insight into man's endeavour and his ultimate destiny.

  • Important Instructions to Students: These days, it is observed, that most students are interested in predictive part of Astrology. As a result of this attitude, several students tend to ignore the Mathematical portion and they do not have sufficient knowledge or experience regarding preparing of different charts. Therefore, students are requested to note that Jyotisha Bharati puts stress on the knowledge of casting a chart and put it on par with the predictive capacity and it is recommended that they cast a minimum of fifty complete charts in the first year, which will enable them to locate and rectify the mistakes in the charts they come across and will thus be capable of pinpointing their predictions and this will further save from ridicule and loss of faith in Astrology.
  • RE-EVALUATION OF PAPERS: Students who feel that marks allotted to them either in the final or ATKT examinations are inconsistent with their expectations are requested to submit written application along with a fee of Rs. 500/- per paper. However students are hereby informed that this exercise will not involve rechecking of the papers or alterations of the marks actually allotted by the examiner but will merely be limited to ensuring that all marks allotted are properly counted for.
  • The decision of the Principal shall be final and binding and no further correspondence will be entertained.
