The Janmabhoomi Panchanga (Almanac in Gujarati),Mumbai ; celebrated the commencement of its 75th year - Amrita Mahotsava on Tuesday, 17.7.2018, at Kanji Khetsey Sabhagriha , Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan , Mumbai.
Shri Damji Anchorwala ,Trustee, Janmabhoomi Group of Newspapers, delivered the welcome address , and felicitated the chief guest and speakers.
Prof. Ramchandra Pandey (former Head, Dept. of Astrology, Banaras Hindu University),the Chief Guest of the function, released the 75th Janmabhoomi Panchanga , and spoke on the importance of Panchanga in propagation of religious treatises (Dharma-shastras) in the society.
On this occasion, the well-known astrologers associated with publication of various Panchangas, including Shri S. Soman, Shri Mohan Date, Shri Vishvajeet Raval, Shri Siddharth Sharma, Shri Ruikar, Shri Karandikar, Shri Salgaonkar, Shri Latkar, Smt. Raj Dandekar, Shri Rajeshwar Tripathi and Shri Balkrishna Dave were felicitated for their rich contribution to Astrology.
Prof. V.M. Sompura, Principal, Bhavan's Jyotisha Bharati, delivered a talk on 'Future of India.' In his talk based on the predictive aspects of current planetary position, and the horoscope of India, he discussed the topics like possibilities of unification of opposite political parties, hospitalisation and imprisonment of some political leaders, bank scams, troubles from neighbouring countries, disruption of activities in state assemblies and parliament, etc. in near future.
The other two astrologers--Shri Maulik Bhatt spoke on possible ups and downs in the share market, and Smt. Deepti Teli spoke on probabilities of disturbances in social life, terrorist attacks, and possible deadly attacks on powerful leaders.
Miss Jyoti Bhatt, Chief Editor, Janmabhoomi Panchanga, introduced the brief history and special features of Janmabhoomi Panchanga, and proposed the vote of thanks.
